My initial decision to join Panda was based on my wanting to learn the restaurant business. Great food and cooking has been a passion for me since I was five years old and I thought this was an excellent opportunity to fulfill on my life long passion.
A day in the life an Area Coach of Operations
I am usually up by 6 AM, check my emails to see if there is anything urgent I need to respond to and plan out my day. By 7 AM I’m in the gym and by 9 AM I am on my way to visit my stores.
In a typical day, I visit two to three stores depending on the agenda I wish to review with them or what shows up during the visit. The focus during these visits is to encourage and ensure exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
What made you decide to stay and continue to grow at Panda?
Panda forced me to look inward to realize all that I am and all that I am not. I have learned more about myself and life in the last three years I have been with Panda then I did in the last 40 years of my life and I am a better son, husband, father and leader because of it, and that is why I plan to continue my growth with Panda
What advice do you have for someone interested in Panda?
Take Panda on fully. Embrace it, especially if you really want to find what your best can look like; there are very few companies that will challenge you and at the same time give you an opportunity to succeed in life and work.
