Summary of Job Description:


The Director of PR & Corporate Communications position is responsible for the creation and execution of communications and stakeholder management strategies that support the company’s vision, culture, business plans, national promotions and brand identity. This position translates these strategies into clear, consistent, and effective messaging for all external company stakeholders. The Director provides communications support for other internal functions and departments as needed.


You’ll get a chance to:



  • Public Relations: Develop and execute PR strategies and plans to proactively build brand affinity, drive consideration, and cement perceptions of Panda as an admired and loved consumer and employer brand on the national and local levels

  • Influencer Marketing: Lead a strategic and integrated influencer marketing program that aligns with brand values, credibly engages consumers, and maximizes campaign effectiveness

  • Brand Partnerships: Identify and build partnerships with complementary brands to increase visibility, amplify key brand tenets, and ensure breakthrough communications

  • Executive Communications: Demonstrate capability in guiding, briefing, and writing for executive leadership to best prepare for media and speaking opportunities

  • Crisis Communications: Help execute a proactive and reactive crisis communications program that works alongside leadership to respond to urgent issues and protect company reputation

  • Community Relations: Help to build and steward relationships between the brand and key community stakeholders to create greater brand advocacy

  • People Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a team through direction setting, 1:1 coaching, and proactive construction of compelling development moves

Your background and experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or a related field; MBA preferred

  • Minimum ten years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations representing an organization in the community, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment with increasing management experience

  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.

  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

  • If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine. Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.

Pay Range M4: $161,000 - $226,000 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
