Summary of Job Description:
The Senior Corporate Counsel is responsible for handling and advising on complex legal work, including commercial contracts, corporate compliance, litigation, and transactions. This position conducts advanced risk assessments associated with corporate legal transactions and business practices. The Senior Corporate Counsel may manage and coach paralegals, less experienced attorneys, and support associates. This position performs special legal projects for senior leadership. This position prepares responses to litigation requests using legal software, and prepares, negotiates, and reviews complex legal contracts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Handles and advises on complex legal work, including commercial contracts, corporate compliance, litigation, and transactions.
- Prepares responses to litigation requests using legal software. Manages and works on litigation efforts.
- Reviews, negotiates and prepares complex contracts (commercial, supply, non-disclosure, etc.) independently.
- Monitors the contract process to ensure contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organization policy and assesses their commercial risk. Conducts advanced risk assessments associated with corporate legal transactions.
- Performs corporate transactions, such as international franchise arrangements and joint ventures.
- May manage and coach paralegals, less experienced attorneys, and support associates, developing associates to meet the strategic needs of the Legal department.
- Researches and advises on potential legal challenges and solutions involving business strategies. Performs special legal projects for senior leadership.
- Serves as liaison between the organization and customers/vendors, including outside counsel.

Your background and experience:
- JD degree and licensed to practice law
- 10+ years of legal experience, with increasing management responsibility
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: L3 $151,000-$212,000 / per year
